10 Awesome Non-Alcoholic Chia Seed Drink Recipes To Sip Your Way Through Summer

Thank goodness winter is over, but now summer is also fast approaching, and with it will come scorching temperatures that will soon be unbearable. As you brace yourself for the heatwave, staying hydrated and maintaining a balance of electrolytes is key. And why not improve your hydration with something more like the powerhouse of nutrition: chia seeds? These tiny seeds are packed with nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and antioxidants, making them a healthy addition to your drinks.

Chia seeds contain soluble fibre, which is why they increase in size when soaked in water. This soluble fiber is incredibly helpful for digestion and in maintaining gut biome, which can become upset in the summer due to the heat. The omega-3 fatty acids in chia seeds are also beneficial for reducing inflammation in the body, the likelihood of which increases due to high temperatures. Besides alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, you can also add chia seeds to your oatmeal, salads, and desserts.
