These Pumpkin Spice Cocktails Are The Best Part Of Fall

Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

Pumpkin spice, or pumpkin pie spice, is a quintessential flavour of the autumn season, known for its comforting and cosy taste. A blend of warm spices that includes cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves it was traditionally used to infuse warmth into sweet dishes like pumpkin pie, although and that association earned it its now globally recognised moniker, even though the spice itself doesn’t contain pumpkin.

Pumpkin pie has been around since the 18th century, and this blend of spices first became a convenient pre-mixed product in the 1930s, but it soon made the leap from dessert flavouring into the mainstream with the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It’s unclear who first thought up the idea, but soon, popular coffee chains jumped on the idea and in the early 2000s, the Pumpkin Spice Latte became a cultural phenomenon.
