Johnnie Walker and Chocolate: Desserts Don't Get More Decadent Than This

Here are some chocolate and whisky desserts that you must try:
Whisky and Chocolate Baked Cheesecake
Ingredients
150 gm of dark chocolate
1 ⅓ cups of caster sugar
2 ½ cups of crushed digestive biscuits
⅔ cup of melted butter
2 ¼ cups of cream cheese
⅔ cup of sour cream
1 tsp of vanilla extract
60 ml of Johnnie Walker Black whisky
Method
Preheat the oven to 170 C.
Using the double boiler method—place a bowl filled with chopped dark chocolate over a simmering pot of water—melt the chocolate, and then add the caster sugar.
Add the melted butter into the crushed digestive biscuits till you get a sandy texture. Then press this firmly into the bottom of a baking tin.
Crack the eggs and whisk them along with the sour cream, cream cheese, vanilla extract, chocolate and sugar mix.
Finally, add Johnnie Walker whisky to this.
Pour the mixture into the biscuit lined baking tin, then bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve with a dusting of cocoa powder and some whipped cream.
Whisky Chocolate Truffles
Ingredients
200 g of good quality dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup of heavy cream
2-3 tbsp of Johnnie Walker Blonde whisky
Cocoa powder for dusting
Method
In a saucepan, bring the heavy cream to a simmer.
Pour this cream over the chopped dark chocolate and let it sit for a minute.
Then stir this mixture until smooth and lump-free.
Next, chill the mixture till it’s firm, and roll into small balls.
Roll the whisky truffles in cocoa powder and serve.
Dark Chocolate Whisky Mousse
Ingredients
2 cups of whipping cream
2 cups of dark chocolate chips
1 tsp of vanilla extract
60 ml of Johnnie Walker Black
Method
Heat 1 cup of heavy whipping cream until it simmers.
Remove from heat and add dark chocolate chips then mix to thoroughly incorporate both ingredients. Let this cool.
Whip the remaining cup of whipping cream, Johnnie Walker whisky, and vanilla extract till you get stiff peaks.
Fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream.
Divide the mouse into serving cups and dust with cocoa.
You can also decorate with chocolate shavings or fresh berries.
Whisky Affogato with Whisky Semifreddo
Ingredients
For the semifreddo: 4 egg yolks
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
60 ml of Johnnie Walker Gold
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 cup of heavy cream
For the affogato: 2 shots of espresso
1-2 tbsp of whisky
Method
Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy in a mixing bowl. Then place the bowl over a pot of simmering water and whisk until the mixture becomes thick.
Remove from heat and stir in the whisky and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until you get soft peaks.
Fold the custard into the whipped cream then pour into a loaf tin lined with plastic wrap.
Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for about 4 to 5 hours.
Brew two shots of espresso, and add a tablespoon or so of whisky to this.
Pour it over a scoop of the semifreddo. Decorate with chocolate shavings and a dusting of cocoa powder.
