Serving Hot Drinks At Your Party? Here’s How To Keep Them Warm

Hosting a party in this chilly winter comes with its own perks! A cosy gathering around fire, drinking warm boozy concoctions, retelling old tales of friendship sets the mood for the season. If you are planning a party in this cold, make sure to serve the hot drinks mentioned below!

1. Almond Milk Chai With Whiskey And Orange

Ingredients  

240 ml Sweetened vanilla almond Milk

1 ½ teaspoons loose-leaf Chai tea (or 1 tea bag)

30 ml Bulleit Bourbon

30 ml Orange juice, freshly squeezed 

dash of Cinnamon powder

Orange slice, for garnish  

Cinnamon stick, for garnish 

Method

In a small saucepan, heat almond milk until it's just about to bubble. Do not boil. Remove the pan from heat and add the tea. Stir and let it steep for 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile, take a mug and pour whiskey and orange juice into it. Once the tea is steeped, finely strain it or remove the tea bag. Pour the chai over whiskey and orange juice in the mug. Stir well to combine. Sprinkle a little cinnamon powder. Garnish with an orange slice and a cinnamon stick. 

2. Bittersweet Amaro- and Whiskey-Spiked Coffee Recipe

Ingredients

For the Spiked Whipped Cream 

60 ml Heavy whipping cream

10 ml Gran Classico (bitter liqueur)

1/2 tablespoon Sugar

For the Spiked Coffee:

30 ml Amaro Averna

15 ml Bulleit Bourbon

15 ml high-quality Crème De Cacao

10 ml Gran Classico

120 Hot coffee

Whipped cream

Method

For the Spiked Whipped Cream 

Whisk cream, Gran Classico and sugar until stiff peaks begin to form. Set it aside.

For the Spiked Coffee

Boil water and pour it in a small mug so that it fills to the brim and warms up the mug. In a mixing glass, add Averna, bourbon, crème de cacao and Gran Classico. Stir well to combine. Prepare the coffee. Throw the hot water from the mug and pour the bourbon mixture in it. Pour the hot coffee and stir well. Top with whipped cream.

3. Honey Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail

Ingredients

150 ml Apple cider

60 ml Bulleit Bourbon

1/2 Lady apple, cut into thick slices

1 teaspoon Organic raw honey

1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon powder

Method

In a saucepan, add cider, apple slices, honey and cinnamon, Bring the contents to a boil and reduce the heat. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to release the flavours. Strain the liquid into a mixing glass. Pour bourbon and stir to combine. Serve the drink warm in a cocktail glass.

4. Classic Hot Toddy

Ingredients

180 ml Water

45 ml Bulleit Whiskey

2 - 3 teaspoons Honey, to taste

2 - 3 teaspoons Lemon juice, to taste

1 Lemon round

1 Cinnamon stick

Method

Take a saucepan and pour water in it. Heat the water till it simmers and turn off the flame. Pour the hot water into a mug. Add whiskey, honey, lemon juice and stir until the honey dissolves completely. You can add more honey if you prefer a sweeter flavour or more lemon juice for more tanginess. Stir well. Garnish with a lemon round and cinnamon stick. Serve warm.

5. Spiced Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

240 ml Milk, cold and divided (to be added in parts)

1 teaspoon Cornstarch

1 tablespoon Cocoa powder

2 teaspoons Brown sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

60 ml semi-sweet chocolate

½ teaspoon vanilla

45 ml Bulleit Bourbon

Whipped cream

Caramel

Method

In a saucepan, add 60 ml milk, cornstarch and cocoa powder and whisk until the contents thoroughly combine. Heat on medium-high flame and pour the rest of the milk, brown sugar, salt and chocolate. Stir regularly until the mixture is steaming hot and the chocolate is completely dissolved. Remove the saucepan from the flame and turn off the heat. Add vanilla and bourbon. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug. Top with whipped cream and caramel. Serve immediately.
