Six Refreshing Raspberry Cocktails That Will Quench Your Thirst

For all berry lovers, here are some cocktail recipes which are fresh, juicy, tarty and simply delightful! Check out the many ways you can use raspberries in cocktails below.

1. Raspberry Margarita

This is the perfect cocktail for berry enthusiasts! Check out the recipe below.

Ingredients

45 ml Don Julio Blanco

30 ml Grand Marnier

30 ml Fresh lime juice

15 ml Simple syrup

120 gm Fresh or frozen raspberries

120 gm Ice

Lime wedge, to rim the glass

Salt, to rim the glass

Method

First, take the lime wedge and cut a notch in it. Rub the lime around the glass and then dip the edge into a plate of salt.

Take a blender and add tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, simple syrup, raspberries and ice. Blend until the contents are fully combined. Pour the drink into the glass and serve.

2. Raspberry Martini

The blushing red hue of this cocktail is simply inviting and hits all the right notes as you sip it. It has a sweet yet tarty flavour with a burst of fresh berry. 

Ingredients

5 Fresh raspberries

60 ml Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka

30 ml Simple syrup

30 ml Lemon juice

Ice

Fresh raspberry, to garnish

Method

Take a cocktail shaker and add the raspberries. Muddle well to crush them. Add vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice into the shaker plus a scoop of ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain the drink into a chilled Martini glass.

3. Floradora

This is a go-to cocktail if you enjoy a refreshing ginger beer cocktail. Check out the recipe below.

Ingredients

60 ml Tanqueray gin

30 ml Raspberry syrup

25 ml Lime juice

Ginger beer, to top up

Method

Take a shaker with ice and add gin, raspberry syrup and lime juice to it. Shake well for 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled Collins glass filled with fresh ice and top with ginger beer.

4. Clover Club

This cocktail tastes as good as it looks! Imagine raspberry ice cream infused with a bit of gin. Sweet but not too sugary –- simply yummy!

Ingredients

60 ml Tanqueray gin

15 ml Lemon juice, freshly squeezed 

15 ml Raspberry syrup 

1 Egg white 

3 Fresh raspberries, for garnish 

Ice

Method

Take a shaker with ice and add gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup and egg white. Shake vigorously until the shaker is well chilled. Strain the drink into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with 3 speared raspberries.

5. French Martini

A cocktail perfect for those who have a sweet tooth. Check out the recipe below.

Ingredients

60 ml Smirnoff vodka

15 ml Black raspberry liqueur 

30 ml Pineapple juice 

Fresh raspberries, for garnish

Method

Take a shaker and add vodka, pineapple juice and raspberry liqueur into it. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until cold to create the best foamy finish. Strain the drink into a martini glass. Add a fresh raspberry as your French Martini garnish.

6. Raspberry Mojito

A riff on the classic mojito using berry-flavoured ingredients to make a delicious cocktail. Check out the recipe below.

Ingredients

1 handful  Fresh mint, stalks removed 

1 tablespoon White sugar

1 Freshly squeezed lime60 ml Captain Morgan White Rum

Club soda

1 slice Lime, for garnish

1 sprig Mint, for garnish

Ice

Method

Take a shaker and add the mint, sugar and lime in it. Use the end of a rolling pin to muddle and crush the mint. Add rum and a handful of ice and shake well until icy cold. Pour the drink into a highball glass and top with club soda. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a slice of lime.
