Whisky Experiments Mumbai: Drinks-Preneur Aneesh Bhasin On Curatorial Experiences, Cocktails And More
Within the bustling and vibrant cityscape of Mumbai nestle several trendy and vibrant bars, curating bespoke cocktails, reimagining indigenous and global spirits and coming up with eclectic experiences, designed specifically for the cocktail curioso. Leading one such experience in Mumbai, is drinks-preneur Aneesh Bhasin, a noted personality in the world of Indian mixology. Whisky Experiments, Mumbai in October 2025, took connoisseurs on an experiential and exclusive cocktail tour spread across different city hubs, from Worli to Bandra. At bar spaces like Aer, Bandra Born and Slink & Bardot, Bhasin introduced a mixology experience which looks at whisky cocktails anew and reimagines ways to work with Johnnie Walker Black Label
A commentator on wines, spirits, lifestyle and hospitality, Bhasin’s curatorial process is all about approaching classics in newer ways, that piques the interest of cocktail enthusiasts who are part of his experiential tours. Assisting on photography assignments, particularly covering wines and spirits, Bhasin cultivated a growing interest in liquors which has gradually translated into his present command over alcohol and mixology know-how. Today, Bhasin is most known for coming up with his own brand of premium tonic water.
In a conversation with The Bar, the cocktail enthusiast and spirit expert who rethinks newer ways of working with whiskies such as Johnnie Walker Black Label, talks about his creative process, cocktail cultures in India, and his most favourite cocktail blend.
