This modern take on the traditional Gin & Tonic features cucumber infusion and Indian spices for a twist. The cocktail retains the original gin and tonic mix but adds a combination of spices and herbs. Cucumber adds depth to the base, while cumin and black salt add a subtle twist.
30ml cucumber-infused gin 100ml tonic water 10 ml lime juice ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder ½ teaspoon black salt 3-4 mint leaves Ice cubes, as needed
Let sliced cucumber steep in gin for two hours, strain before using and store in a clean bottle.
Put ice cubes in a glass or place the glassware in the freezer to maintain temperature of the drink and bring out its flavours.
Pour the gin, lime juice, roasted cumin powder and black salt into the glass over fresh ice, and stir well for even mixing.
Slowly pour chilled tonic water over the mixture to preserve carbonation and combine evenly.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves or wedge of lime and serve immediately to preserve freshness and balance. *Drink Responsibly. This communication is for audiences above the age of 25.
