A smoky twist of the original mojito which replaces rum with mezcal, for a vibrant, earthy flavour, the mezcal mojito combines zesty flavours of mint and lime with the deep smokiness of the agave liquor. Mezcal is also a relatively nuanced and crisper liquor which adds depth to drinks.
30 ml mezcal 8-10 fresh mint leaves ½ lime (cut into wedges) 15 ml simple syrup Soda water Ice cubes
Muddle the mint and lime wedges in a serving glass.
Pour in the mezcal and simple syrup to stir before topping up with ice cubes.
Pour some soda water and gently swirl; garnish with a sprig of mint before serving.
Use fresh, high quality ingredients – from fresh mint, juicy limes and a well-balanced mezcal for a crisp and flavourful foundation.
Gently squeeze the mint leaves to release their oils without producing bitterness, resulting in an aromatic note. *Drink Responsibly. This communication is for audiences above the age of 25.
