Traditionally served in a coupe glass, the versatile gimlet cocktail has a cloudy white appearance – courtesy of its minimal ingredients and under-stated elegance. The ease of preparation makes the recipe an ideal choice for novice and even experienced mixologists wanting to use crisp flavours with vibrant notes.
15 ml gin 30 ml fresh lime juice 5 ml simple syrup Ice cubes Lime wheel, for garnish
In a shaker, combine gin and the remaining ingredients.
Fill with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15-30 seconds, until the outer surface is cold to touch.
Strain the mixture into a chilled glass to prevent any ice shards and add a thin lime wheel for visual presentation.
Ensure that the gin and lime juice are pre-chilled for optimal flavour and maintaining temperature of the final drink. *Drink Responsibly. This communication is for audiences above the age of 25.
