Raw mango syrup is a seasonal homemade mixer used in both mocktails and cocktails since it offers a tangy base and levels out flavours in beverages. The syrup is prepared with simple ingredients, involves little preparation, can be stored for long-term use and can be blended with different drinks of preference.
50 grams raw mango pulp 100 ml water 50 grams sugar 1 teaspoon black salt 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
Combine the ingredients in a saucepan and boil until thickened slightly to coat the back of a spoon.
Take the raw mango mixture off the heat, strain and cool down to ensure it reaches its desired consistency.
Transfer the syrup to a sterilised bottle and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Mix with sparkling water or soda to make a flavourful summer beverage with balanced profiles.
Use it to enhance the flavour of margaritas, mojitos or whisky sour to complement spirits.
