Summertime means you can host amazing parties by the beach and organise lots of fun activities like surfing, speed boating and other water sports coupled with artsy stuff like making sand castles and collecting shells by the seashore.

Blue Lagoon

A common ingredient across all the deeply azure cocktails that make up the aquamarine theme is the blue curacao, or a citrusy orange liqueur dyed blue. And one of the most popular cocktails you can make using this mixer is the blue lagoon, containing all the tang of the liqueur coupled with lemon juice and lemon lime soda.

Blue Hawaii

Another classic number from the shore fronts, a blue hawaii can be made using delectable white rum and vodka along with a mix of blue curacao and tons of citruses including lime juice, lemon zest and pineapple juice which give the drink a very sour and tart texture.

China Blue

One classic cocktail which has circled continents to become quite popular for its seductive blue colour is the china blue which looks like a slice of the ocean in a glass. Its azure textures make the drink very appealing and blended with the tang of grapefruit juice.

Darlington

A cocktail which has emerged from WJ Tarling’s 1937 Cafe Royal Cocktail Book, the darlington spells elegance and sophistication in the extreme. It involves mixing gin, calvados and dry vermouth with the tangy, zesty notes of lemon juice and blue curacao to arrive at a blend that is not too sweet, but still quite fun.

Blue Sidecar

A bluish spin on the conventional sidecar, this one involves swapping the triple sec with blue curacao keeping the cognac and egg white intact in the recipe. The blue sidecar is a delectable concoction with a slightly turquoise or greenish hue resembling the deep oceans.

Blue Lassi

Another cocktail which highlights the aquamarine theme of any beach do is the blue lassi crafted out of blue curacao and yoghurt to infuse the drink with a creamy texture. The cocktail also contains some rose water and vanilla infused vodka which imbue it with a very inviting aroma that is perfectly suited to sandy beaches.
