Traditional Indian spices and ingredients are combined to create the foundation of the spiced cumin jaljeera mojito, combining the spirit with unique flavours. Blending the salty, tangy and spiced characteristics of jaljeera with lime and mint to provide a defined flavour profile, cumin adds an earthy depth, supporting the overall composition.
30 ml white rum ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder ½ teaspoon jaljeera powder 10 fresh mint leaves 15 ml lime juice 10 ml simple syrup 120 ml club soda Ice cubes Mint sprig, for garnish
Muddle the mint leaves, cumin powder and lime juice in a shaker to release essential oils and flavour.
Add the jaljeera powder, white rum and simple syrup before shaking vigorously for uniform flavour distribution.
Strain and pour over ice cubes in a serving glass.
Top up with club soda and stir lightly to mix and keep carbonated. Garnish with a sprig of mint before serving.
Roast the cumin beforehand to have a pronounced flavour of the spice in each sip.
Adjust jaljeera powder according to personal preference for tartness, to ensure balance in spice and acidity. *Drink Responsibly. This communication is for audiences above the age of 25.
