Having a house party and wondering what to do to keep the spirits (ehm) high?
Want to make sure everyone’s involved and having a good time?
Wonder no more, because the answer is right here!
Throwing a party is usually a stressful experience because as a host, you want to make sure everyone is having a great time (including yourself). You also don’t want to feel too bogged down with the mundane details of planning and executing. At times like these, the easiest and best solution is to turn the theme of the party to ‘game night’. Playing fun and easy drinking games always adds an element of excitement to a gathering! There are countless drinking games to choose from and that can be quite an overwhelming task, but don’t worry, because we have the perfect game suggestion for you!
This time for game night, introduce your guests to drunk jenga, which is basically classic Jenga but with drinks. This is an extremely fun and entertaining game to play with a group of friends on game night, as it seamlessly combines skill, strategy, and a bit of alcohol-fueled excitement!
Drunk Jenga’s USP lies in its simplicity. It’s an exceedingly easy game to set up and even easier to play.
Drunk Jenga: Setting Up
Things you need
A Jenga set (consists of 54 wooden blocks)
Drinks of choice (non-alcoholic options for those who aren’t drinking, but still want to join in the excitement)
Markers
A fun group to play with!
To Begin With
Take your markers and write different drinking rules on each Jenga block. Get creative and really have fun with it.
Some examples of drinking rules
Everybody exchange drinks with the person on your left and then have 2 sips
Dance for 30 seconds with your eyes closed
No one can say the word drink till the end of the game, otherwise they get a drinking penalty
Everyone takes a drinking penalty
Truth or Dare
Choose someone else to take a drinking penalty
Game Play
Randomly set up your Jenga blocks and create the Jenga tower
Ensure every player has the drink of their choice ready in their hands
Each player takes turns removing one Jenga block at a time (using only one hand at a time) from the tower and stacking them one on top of the other
Upon removing the block, the player must follow whatever drinking rule is written on the block
If a player makes the tower collapse, they must take a penalty drink
Play till the tower collapses / when the pre-decided time limit is reached / when people want to stop (drinking)
Lastly, Enjoy Yourself But Remember…
Drunk Jenga is sure to create some really fun and exciting memories (or lack thereof) for you and your gang but remember to play responsibly and keep a check on everyone’s alcohol consumption levels. Make sure everyone plays and drinks only as much as they are comfortable with and keep non-alcoholic beverage options for those who prefer not to drink or feel that they have reached their limit. Games are only fun when everyone is having a good time.
