Rainy season is here and it’s time to embrace the monsoon vibes with something that’s warm, comforting, and just a tad bit boozy. Nothing says cosy quite like a mug of warm cider.

Rosemary Pear Cider

Let’s kick things off and get a little fancy with a Rosemary Pear Cider. It’s the posh cousin of the plain ol’ cider but every bit as delicious!

In a saucepan, combine 500 ml of pear cider with a sprig of fresh rosemary, a few slices of pear and a tablespoon of honey. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Remove the rosemary and add 45 ml of gin. Pour into a mug and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a pear slice.

Maple Bourbon Cider

Adding a touch of sweetness is the Maple Bourbon Cider. This one’s for those who like their drinks with a hint of smoky, maple goodness (which is probably most of us, because nothing bad has ever been created with these adjectives let’s be honest).

In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of apple cider with a couple of cinnamon sticks and a tablespoon of maple syrup. Simmer gently and then remove from the heat. Add 45 ml of bourbon and stir well.

Pour into a mug and garnish with a slice of apple and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Gingerbread Cider

For a bit of festive flair, the Gingerbread Cider is sure to be your new go-to. It’s spicy, sweet, and tastes just like a gingerbread cookie. A warm, delicious, fresh-out-of-the-oven, dipped in just the right amount of booze, gingerbread cookie.

In a saucepan, combine 500 ml of apple cider with a teaspoon of ground ginger, a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a tablespoon of molasses.

Heat until simmering, then remove from the heat. Add 45 ml of dark rum and stir. Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground nutmeg.

Hot Toddy Cider

The Hot Toddy Cider combines the best of two classic and beloved warm drinks: the hot toddy and warm cider.

In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of apple cider with a few cloves, a cinnamon stick and a lemon peel. Simmer gently, then remove from the heat and let it steep for about 5 minutes. Add 45 ml of whisky and a tablespoon of honey.

Vanilla Maple Cider

If you’re in the mood for something smooth and sweet, the Vanilla Maple Cider is calling your name. It’s like a vanilla latte met a maple tree and had a delicious baby (we’re proud of our analogies too).

In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of apple cider with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until warm and fragrant.

Remove from the heat and add 45 ml of dark rum. Pour into a mug and garnish with a vanilla bean and a drizzle of maple syrup.
