Baileys Cookie Cocktails

Think about the combination of deliciously sweet cookies and cream and you know the duo is so amazing that it can transform tea-time into a wonderful experience. But what if you are craving the duo during a party? Well, cookie-infused cocktails that feature Bailey’s Irish Whisky Cream is just what you need. Infusing cookies with the essence of Bailey’s lends a delightful twist not only to the flavour of cookies but also incorporates the rich, creamy and indulgent flavour of the beloved liqueur into your cocktails too.

Of course, the easiest way to go about this incredibly delicious infusion is to add a dash of Bailey’s to all your cookies anyways. All you need to do to do this is replace a bit of the milk in your cookie recipes with Bailey’s Irish Whisky Cream in your cookie recipes, whether they are chocolate chip ones or oatmeal ones. This simple addition in the very recipe adds a depth of richness to the cookies, making them the perfect additions to your cocktails.

And if you are wondering how to add cookies to cocktails featuring Bailey’s, here are a few recipes you can try.

1. Bailey's Cookie Martini

Give the classic martini a classy and creamy upgrade with this Bailey’s Cookie Martini. For this one, you will need simple chocolate cookies that have been infused with Bailey’s. You can also crush up the cookies and rim the martini glass with it by dipping the edge in honey and then cookie crumbs. To make the cocktail itself, you will need 50ml vodka and 25ml Bailey’s that has been steeped in the chocolate cookies overnight. Pour these into a shaker with ice, shake well and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with some chocolate shavings and cookie crumbs for better effect.

2. Bailey's Cookie Old Fashioned

Did you know that if you steep cookies infused with Bailey’s in whisky, you are likely to get a spicier, sweeter and more delicious whisky? To do this, first steep the cookies in 50ml whisky for an hour, then strain the liquid and place it in a shaker with 25ml Bailey’s and two dashes of Angostura bitters. Shake well and strain into a whisky glass, then garnish with an orange peel while expressing its oils over the drink.

3. Bailey's Cookie Flip

Once again, soaking ginger cookies in a bit of Bailey’s for a few hours can create the perfect cookie-infused Bailey’s to add to your cocktails. Then you can easily use 25ml of this infused liquid to give the old fashioned flip cocktail an incredible upgrade. To do this, pour the Bailey’s in a shaker with 50ml dark rum, 1 whole egg and shake well with ice to chill and infuse. Now, strain this cocktail into a glass and garnish with nutmeg powder and cookie crumbs.

4. Bailey's Cookie Sour

If you like the classic Whisky Sour cocktail then you will absolutely love this cookie-infused version that features Bailey’s. First, steep some lemon shortbread in 30ml Bailey’s for an hour. Strain the Bailey’s and pour it into a shaker with 50ml bourbon, 25ml lemon juice and 15ml simple syrup. Shake well and strain into a glass over ice cubes.  Garnish with a lemon twist for a tangy and creamy cocktail experience.

5. Bailey's Cookie Cream Punch

Creamy, sweet, spiced and yet quite heady thanks to the addition of Bailey’s, this tweaked version of the classic punch will be the new life of your parties. To make this one, steep ginger cookies in 100ml milk for a few hours, then strain the liquid and pour it into a punch bowl. Add 50ml Bailey’s, 15ml honey, 25ml rum and ice. You can also add a few cinnamon sticks and cloves and stir the punch to infuse the flavours.
