Vodka and Gin Cocktails to Celebrate International Women’s Day  

Having a party on Women’s Day can honour her journey in the different spheres of life. Organizing a party with proper food and drinks can create a good ambience and memorable experience. Different cocktail recipes with vodka or gin as a base alcohol and some easily accessible ingredients can help any host or bartender create a drinks menu that caters to women from different spheres, whether they are colleagues, friends or family.   

Here are some of the best vodka and gin cocktails to explore.  

Vodka Cocktails for Women’s Day 

A few vodka cocktails one can try this International Women’s Day are-

Marmalade Vodka Twist 

This cocktail holds the bright and vibrant colours of orange and also has a tangy and citrus taste that complements the sweetness of peach and orange blossom vodka. The ingredients required are 30 ml peach and orange blossom vodka, 15ml lemon juice, 7ml bitters, 15ml orange juice and 6 ml orange marmalade. Add marmalade, orange juice and lemon juice to a shaker and shake until the marmalade is almost dissolved. Then add peach and orange blossom vodka and bitters to the shaker, and add ice. Shake the mixture well for 15 seconds. Strain and serve the cocktail in a coupe glass. 

The Peach Princess 

28ml peach-flavoured vodka, 28 ml Malibu, 28 ml ginger ale and a few drops of grenadine are the basic ingredients of the Peach Princess cocktail. All the ingredients should be taken in a shaker and shaken until the shaker is frosted. A touch of grenadine helps in colour splash. Strain and serve in a chilled martini cocktail glass.

Appletini 

This bright green-coloured, apple-flavoured cocktail is an ideal blend of sweet and sour flavours. The ingredients include 21 ml vodka, 18 ml sour apple pucker liqueur, 14 ml apple juice, 7 ml lemon juice and ice. Pour all the ingredients in the mentioned quantity into a shaker with ice. Shake well for approximately 15 seconds. Serve in a martini cocktail glass after some garnishing with green apple slices.   

Gin Cocktails for Women’s Day 

Many gin cocktails are colourful. Two of them are discussed here that are quite easy to prepare as the ingredients are easily available.  

Strawberry Martini Cocktail 

Inspired by the classic cocktail Bloodhound, which uses raspberries as an ingredient, Strawberry Martini Cocktail is packed with sweet and tart flavours. The ingredients required are 30 ml pink gin, 8 ml sweet syrup, and 3 ml dry vermouth. Add ice to a cocktail shaker, pour pink gin, simple syrup and dry vermouth on the ice, and shake for 15 seconds. Pour the mixture in a martini cocktail glass. Garnish with frozen strawberries and coat the rim of the coupe glass with sugar or honey to add splurge while serving this fruity cocktail.

Lady in Red 

Lady in Red is an upgraded version of the classic Lady in White cocktail, which gets the red colour splash from the raspberry. This red cocktail needs 25 ml gin, 12.5 ml lemon juice, 1 egg white or vegan alternative, 6 ml raspberry syrup, and fresh raspberry for garnishing. Pour all the ingredients into a shaker and shake dry. Then add ice and shake. Serve Lady in Red after double straining into a chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with raspberries.  

Not only are the ingredients important for a glass of cocktail, but a right glass and garnishes are also important. Different glasses, like a martini cocktail glass, coupe glass, etc., can be used with proper garnishes like watermelon slides, orange ribbons, etc., to offer cocktails for the party to celebrate International Women’s Day.
