Ketel One Vodka - 15ml

- Tomato paste - ¼ cup

- Shallots - 2

- Rigatoni - 225g

- Heavy cream - ½ cup

- Parmesan Cheese - ½ cup

- Garlic cloves (minced) - 2

- Butter - 2 tbsp

- Chilli flakes - 1 tsp

- Salt and pepper

- Fresh Basil 

Step-by-step recipe



- Cook your pasta in a large pot. Reserve a cup of water before draining. 

- To make vodka sauce, in a large saucepan, heat some butter.

- Add minced garlic and diced shallots to the saucepan and cook over medium heat until the ingredients turn soft. 

- Next, add tomato paste to the saucepan and cook until the ingredients are caramelised. 

- Measure and pour vodka into the sauce mix and cook until evaporated. Add heavy cream and chilli flakes to the saucepan and stir constantly. 

- Add salt and pepper to taste. 

- Add half a cup of reserved pasta water to the vodka sauce. Next, add some butter and stir the sauce over medium heat.
