The A.D.M. cocktail is a rich and luxurious drink intended to be served as liquid dessert. The name suggests its intended function - a refined, liquor-forward spin on the traditional after-dinner mint chocolate. Executing contemporary mixology’s use of uncommon components to produce distinct profiles, garnishes for the cocktail elevate its appeal - popular ones include whipped cream, chocolate shavings or drizzle, fresh mint sprig or even a maraschino cherry.
Thoroughly chill a dessert, coupe or martini cocktail glass.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the hot chocolate mix with 30 ml of water, swirling thoroughly until the powder is dissolved and smooth.
Pour the vodka, crème de menthe and fruit-flavoured whisky liqueur into the shaker with the dissolved chocolate mixture before filling with ice.
Secure the top tightly and shake rapidly for 15-20 seconds, until the surface is completely cold and frozen on the outside.
Double-strain the drink, garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings or mint sprig and serve immediately.
