Six Tangy Tamarind Mocktails That Will Rejuvenate You

1. Masala Mint Mojito
Ingredients
1.5 tablespoon Jaggery chunks, grated or chopped
3 tablespoon Lemon juice
1/2 tablespoon Fennel powder
A chunk of Tamarind
1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
Sugar, as needed
2-3 Fresh mint leaves
2-3 Coriander sprigs
240 gms Ice
Club soda
360 ml Warm water
Method
Take a bowl and add the warm water, tamarind, jaggery and fennel powder. Let it stand for five minutes until the jaggery is melted. Pulse mint, coriander, a little salt and a tablespoon of water to form a coarse mixture.
Now, mash the tamarind between your fingers to get the pulp and then strain the jaggery water into a mixing glass. Add lemon juice, chaat masala, mint-coriander mixture, salt and sugar if needed.
Take a serving glass with 3-4 ice cubes and pour the liquid till the glass is three-quarters full. Slowly add the club soda and top with more ice if needed. Stir well before serving.
2. Spiced Tamarind Mocktail
Ingredients
240 gms Tamarind pod
240 gms Sugar
1 teaspoon Ginger powder
12 pieces Cloves
1 teaspoon Cardamom pod
1 tablespoon Cinnamon broken
3 pieces Red chilli
Water
Ice
Method
Take a pot and add all the ingredients. Add water and bring the content to a boil. Now, mash the contents to get the juice out of the flesh. Strain into a serving glass and top with ice.
3. Tamarind Vanilla Mocktail
Ingredients
100 gms Tamarind
240 gms Sugar
570 ml Vanilla extract
Method
Remove the skins of the tamarinds and wash them. Boil it for 10-15 minutes and let it cool. Strain the liquid to get the tamarind juice. Add sugar and vanilla extract. Pour the drink into a serving glass. Add ice cubes and serve cold.
4. Mangorind Dark And Stormy Mocktail
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Tamarind Paste
Lots of Ice
Splash of Mango Juice
Splash of Ginger Beer
Slice of Lime
Mint spring
Method
Take a serving glass and add the tamarind paste to the bottom of its surface. Fill the glass completely with ice. Add mango juice and ginger beer as per your liking. More mango juice if you want the mocktail to be sweeter, more ginger beer if you want it to be spicy. Garnish with a slice of lime and mint spring.
