Ingredients

  • 30 ml Absinthe

  • 30 ml Johnnie Walker Black Label

  • 15 ml brandy

  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters

  • 1 teaspoon Maraschino cherry juice

  • Lemon peel, for garnish

  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish

  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Pour the Absinthe in a chilled cocktail glass and swirl the liquor to coat the inside of the glass, before discarding the excess.
  2. In a shaker filled with ice, add the scotch whisky, brandy, cherry juice and bitters.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously until it is well combined and chilled.
  4. Strain the liquid into the coated cocktail serving glass and finish off with a lemon peel and Maraschino cherry before serving.
