The Talisker Hot Chocolate cocktail is a rich drink that mingles assertive flavour with sweetness. With its smoky depth and peppery finish, amaro adds bitter complexity, while hazelnut liqueur adds nutty roundness and mellow sweetness. Poured into a base of thick, velvety hot chocolate, the result is a drink with layers of peat, spice and cocoa that gradually develop.
In a mixing glass, whisk together the single malt, amaro, hazelnut liqueur and cinnamon syrup to combine the flavours.
Heat your hot chocolate separately until it is thick and smooth but not boiling.
Pour the mixture into a heatproof cup or glass, then top with the hot chocolate. Stir gently again.
Add a swirl of whipped cream and a couple of toasted marshmallows on top for texture and flair.
