But the most likely theory is that the name came from a popular restaurant chain that served this gin cocktail at Greyhound bus terminals. The cocktail recipe has been experimented with many variations over the years.

Method

To begin the Greyhound cocktail recipe, first prepare the cocktail serving glass. Grab a rocks glass and fill it with ice.

Using a measuring cup or a cocktail jigger, measure out 50ml of Gordon’s London Dry gin and pour over the ice into the rocks glass. 

Top up the drink with freshly made grapefruit juice. This will bring in a lovely pink colour to the cocktail. 

Using a bar spoon, gently stir the ingredients to combine. 

Garnish the drink with a lime wheel for a burst of citrusy aroma.

Method
