Method

To begin the Paloma cocktail, prepare a tall glass. Rub a wedge of lime or grapefruit along the rim of the glass and dip onto a plate filled with salt to coat the edges. Set the glass aside.

Next, grab a tall and elegant glass and fill it with ice cubes.

Using a cocktail jigger or a measuring cup, measure and pour 60ml of Don Julio Blanco tequila, 60ml of fresh grapefruit juice, 15ml of agave nectar and 15ml of freshly squeezed lime juice into the shaker. Using the measuring tools is essential to ensure that the right quantities of the ingredients are used. This helps in maintaining the right balance of flavours.

Using a bar spoon or a cocktail stirrer, stir the ingredients gently to combine. 

Top off the drink with soda water.

Garnish with a wedge of grapefruit.
