Since the festive season is upon us, it’s time to break all the rules and enjoy the richness of Christmas flavours in every meal. With this simple gingerbread syrup, you can enjoy the flavour of these holiday cookies in your coffee and cocktails too!
1 cup water 1 cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Begin by combining 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar in a saucepan.
Add 2 tablespoons of grated fresh ginger and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.
Simmer the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Let it cool, then strain out the ginger.
Transfer the syrup to a bottle and refrigerate.
Add a splash to your coffee for a festive touch.
