Fancy a hot chocolate to warm the cockles of your heart before bed or as a little afternoon treat? As you're about to make that cocoa, an idea hits you. That Baileys in the cupboard? It's about to turn your cosy drink into a decadent treat.
Baileys Original Irish Cream: 50 ml, Milk: 200 ml, Dark Chocolate: 50 g, A Pinch of Cinnamon, Whipped Cream, Marshmallows, Grated Chocolate
Begin with the Base: Heat your milk in a pan, but mind you don’t let it boil. As it gently simmers, throw in your dark chocolate, stirring as it melts.
Once the chocolate has fully dissolved into the milk, pour in the Baileys Original Irish Cream, stirring gently, as you combine the warmth of the chocolate with the Baileys, creating a concoction that feels like a hug from the inside.
A pinch of cinnamon now, stirred in, to introduce a hint of mystery. Pour this blend into your favourite mug. Crown it with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Sprinkle on some grated chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder, adding texture and a contrast of flavours.
No masterpiece is complete without its signature—in this case, marshmallows, scattered on top, melting slowly, adding sweetness and a touch of nostalgia to every sip.
